Candle Care Guide with Club Goods

Candle Care Guide with Club Goods

You bought a candle from the shop, all you need to do is light it and enjoy the aromas.

But with just a few quick considerations you can ensure you get the best out of your candle that you can!

Here are some tips for longevity and best practices for the best burn.

Wick Care
First step, trim you wick before every burn. By doing this, you ensure an even and soot-free burn. Remove any soot build-up by cleaning it with a paper towel.

Burning
To have your candle burn evenly across the circumference let the candle burn for approximately 1-2 hours. Burning for a longer period of time can cause the wick to uncenter, causing the wick to get close to the glass which could crack the glass.

When to stop and why?
Do not let your candle burn too close to the class to prevent the heat from bursting the glass container. Maintaining the glass will allow you to give it a second life!

Upcycle

Once your candle has come to the end, it's time to clean out the container and you can now repurpose the vessel for storage, a glass or even a planter!

Tips to clean out the container
Take a small spoon to scoop out the remaining wax and wick - if you have difficult removing the wax use hot water to soften the wax.

Use a towel and soap to complete cleaning out the container and give it a second life!
